If you plan to transport a car 60 miles across 3 counties at night
and someone offers to lend you a dolly and trailer bar, make sure
they are in full working order before you get 5 miles down the
motorway. It turns out the dolly had a flat tyre which
couldn't be inflated (faulty valve) and the trailer bar had one
light out, with the other light working intermittently. Now
towing a matt black car at night down an unlit motorway with bad to
no lighting attracts more flashes than pervert in a park of school
children. A big thanks goes to the guy who forced me off the
road in order to tie his own hi-vis vest to the back of the pick-up.
Mayhem thinking it should be lower!)
Anyway, after one of the longest nights of my life
transporting the pick-up from Bristol to Thatcham, I drop
the vehicle of to Mickey at Mayhem Motors, for an initial
we know already is it doesn't run, which is maybe be an
issue with the starter and stripped teeth on the flyweel.
Safety issues include the plastic fuel line is nearly
dragging on the ground, and an open fuel tank (see photo).
