scott (the hawk)
 A team of
scientists found Scott Milsom in
1971 during an expedition into the Cold Ash woods. Finding him suffering
from malnutrition and unable to talk the scientists were bemused, they
captured Scott and took him back to AFC Newbury for extensive tests.
There they discovered that Scott was no normal child having instead of
hands, the paws of a Staffordshire bull Terrier dog, thus the options in
his musical career would be limited.
One of the Scientists, Dr Dre from Thatcham, took him under his wing
and showed him the ways of the double bass.
Scott’s
Involvement in the “Free Hermitage” campaign lead him to meet
Euro-Anarchist drummer Nicko Nichols whose Blues-Rock project “Celtic
Tatt”, desperately required new blood.
They stowed away on an Trans-Atlantic ship dreaming of adventure,
unfortunately all Scott’s clothes were lost en voyage – the only
garments available were left over from a film shoot of “the Dukes of
Hazzard”. Scott embraced the comedy trolleys and to this day he
continues to wear Uncle Jesse’s discarded clothes.
